I like cos and arccos myself. :)

is arccos(x) and arcsin(x) like the inverse? Or is it something completely different. I voted for the first option just because i had no idea what the arc[periodic function](x) meant, but I do like math so i didn't choose the fourth option. :D

Yes arcsin(x) is the inverse of sin(x). Think of a right triangle, pick an angle that is not the 90 degree angle. If you divide the length of the side opposite that angle by the hypotenuse, then plug that ratio into arcsin(x), you will get that angle.

arccos(x) is the angle who's cosine is x

arcsin(x) is the angle who's sine is x

It's like going backwards from basic geometry. You're finding the ratio of the sides instead of finding the angle.

And cosine curves are hot. Even though it's the same as sine with a phase angle, I like to start on top. :>

oh, ok. That is what I thought it might be. I don't really have a favorite though, because sin(x) starts at (0,0), but I like cos(x) starting high up, Although, if you wanted to, you could change the period of x and then have a sin graph start at the max/min. point, or vise versa :D

It's the asymptotes. Nobody likes asymptotes.

I suppose so. You're just wandering along merrily as usual, and suddenly there's a line which gets approached twice, once from either side, with nothing actually happening *at* it. Frustrating, for some reason.
