In our chem lab tomorrow morning, we will be using a Plutonium/Beryllium mixture to irradiate some silver. Aside from the sheer awesomeness of doing experiments involving plutonium, I found out this week that the lead lined barrels, that hold the radioactive mixture, were donated to the Chem department as leftovers from The Manhattan Project!

The thought that Richard Feynman might have once run experiments using those same barrels gives me happy shivers.
